Meet some of the wonderful writers and photographers thats have contributed their work!

Mayra Ramales:

Mayra Ramales is a music and sports enthusiast as well as the writer, photographer and creator of The Sound Live. Aside from TSL, she’s contributed to Low Kick MMA, Next Mosh, The Mosh Network, and GLAAD. She is currently a dual Masters student in Latin American Studies/Radio-Television-Film at The University of Texas at Austin and holds a B.S. in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from New York University.


Aiyanna Riley:

Meet Aiyanna! She goes by so many names such as Anna, YaYa, and Yanni. She is a Sound Recording Technology major at Stephen F. Austin University! Her talents include singing, writing music, and playing instruments. When she is not doing all of that, she is a babysitter/nanny and she has been working with children since she was thirteen years old. She is truly a kid at heart who hasn’t grown out of Disney and hopes to write the soundtracks for their films one day. She loves anything that involves making music, and wants to be able to share it with everyone around the world.


Marissa Ann Rodriguez:

Marissa Ann began Scryer Photography in 2013 with the purpose of writing concert reviews and music photography. Marissa is self taught as a concert photographer and having many friends as musicians in the New York City rock/heavy metal scene, she focused on photo coverage for local musicians to promote the local music scene. Marissa moved on to larger concert venues to photograph international touring bands soon after. Along with concert photography, Marissa works as a freelance concert/gig/promotional photographer in all five boroughs of New York City. She currently studies Communications for entertainment public relations with the purpose of promoting her own photography and rising artists. Originally from Lakeland, Florida, Marissa has resided in New York City for over ten years. Anjanette McGrath:

Anjanette is a photographer residing in New Jersey. Anjanette studied art at New Jersey City University earning a Bachelor’s of Art degree with a concentration in photography and is a certified art teacher. Her work has been published and shown in galleries. Anjanette loves photographing the New York City indie music scene, as well as photographing national bands that tour in the tri state area. She is and always will be a city girl at heart. She also photographs events, parties, people, and documents the world around her. When Anjanette is not photographing the music world, she is busy raising her four beautiful children and taking their photos too! Darek Solarski:

Darek

Darek Solarski comes from a family of artist’s. He learned photography in his father’s old-fashioned darkroom and later studied art in Cracow, Poland. A self-taught guitarist, he fell under the spell of electric guitar after hearing opening riffs of Metallica’s Orion. A guitar aficionado, he enjoys equally trash riffs, wah wah pedals and everything in between. Professionally, he works as an independent graphic designer, illustrator and photographer. Darek is currently developing a story book based around phenomenon of pareidolia and slowly but steadily continues to write music for his concept album ‘Narcissistic Trilogy’. Darek has also been an in-house photographer at NY’s famous Carlton Arms Hotel documenting work of many artists since 2004. Concert photography is an unusual place where his passion for art and music meet. Monica Stricker:

Monica Stricker is a multi-talented artist living in New York City. From photography to paintings and drawings to being the drummer in the band Shattered Serenade, she does it all. A concert/event photographer with ten years of professional experience, Monica is your female Peter Parker, capturing amazing moments with her trusty camera. One of Monicaʼs photos appeared uncredited in Modern Drummer Magazine and she also toured with the band Tantric as their personal photographer. Lynn Cappiello:

Michelle Eliza:

Michelle Eliza

 

Michelle Eliza is a recovering opera singer, who sought recovery in rock n roll music and roller derby. Michelle moved to New York City after earning her bachelor degree in music from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. After a few years singing in operatic productions, Michelle exchanged heels and high notes for wheels and loud noises. She currently lives in Brooklyn where she sings with the rock band Schmeeze. www.thebandschmeeze.com


Joe Bottari:

 

Joe Bottari is a born-and-raised New Yorker. A self-described “office drone” by day, he keeps himself sane by going to as many shows and taking as many pictures as he can. He still lives on the Lower East Side, where he has lurked for his entire life.


Laura Meoli:

Laura Meoli is an Emmy award winning filmmaker and artist. As founder of LoudaVision Productions, she is committed to creating multimedia content that pushes the boundaries of the artform, and teaching aspiring artists to do the same. Laura also hosts the LoudaVision Podcast to help creative people turn their passion into a career. Her favorite bands are Muse, Taking Back Sunday and Rx Bandits, but her favorite album is dependent on her mood or goal for the day. Lucas McAfee:

Lucas McAfee, a man who always saw art as a struggle but when it came to seeing bands he loves it never fell flat from pure poetry in motion. As years passed he witnessed the thrive for Long Islands very own music scene and wanted to give back some how. He picked up his iPhone, yes an iPhone and started capturing moments photographers were shocked a phone could even grasp. He also dabbled with using film to bring a simple practice back to life but always stayed true to his roots of being the iPhone photographer. Dan Palumbo:

Dan Palumbo is a concert and candid photographer based out of Long Island, New York. Ever since picking up his first Nikon while enrolled in journalism courses at SUNY Purchase, he knew that capturing raw moments with a camera was a passion he’d be able to follow for the rest of his life. Aside from taking photos, Dan enjoys playing guitar, reading, and attending concerts as often as possible, both as a fan and photographer. 

Joanna Viscuso:

Graphic design became the gateway to Joanna’s pursuit in photography. Graphic design classes at Adelphi had a strict rule that one had to use their own photos for assignments which then lead to where she is today. After three semesters she began photography journey and then in the spring of 2017 became a local concert photographer. She started off working with a couple local bands and is now one of the main photographers in the local music scene. Since then she has branched out into event photography, pet photography, professional head shots, portraits and product photography as of 2019.
