New Jersey hard rockers Common Wealth recently released a new single off their upcoming debut full-length album, Never The Less. The track, which is a cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Saturday Night Special” features special guest Chris Pennie (Coheed and Cambria, Dillinger Escape Plan) on drums. With the double-bass drumming, crushing guitar tones, and powerful vocals from frontman Christian Carson, they all combined to make one badass, modernized rendition of a killer classic tune. The cover was recorded at the legendary New Jersey studio Trax East. A studio which is known for spawning albums from acts such as Hatebreed, God Forbid, and other hard-rock/metal heavyweights. The sessions for the song were engineered by Pat Noon and mixed/mastered by Ray Marte (Moon Tooth) at Westfall Recording Co. in Farmingdale, NY.
