With Love from Danielle Grubb at Arlene’s Grocery

Through the month of September, Arlene’s Grocery was lucky enough to host Danielle Grubb’s residency every Wednesday night. On the 21st, Danielle was joined by Nick Chatham, David You, and Kate Buchanan. during one of the last shows of their residency.

Nick Chatham kicked off the night with his sultry voice and soulful tunes, featuring Miss Grubb on guitar and background vocals. Nick was followed by the denim-clad David You, and his swoon-worthy songs that sound as if they were written to melt hearts.

Danielle Grubb came onto the stage and filled the room with nothing but love. She addressed the crowd in a purely candid style that added an element of intimacy to the evening, all of which was very comforting to the crowd. Her own band also featured Nick Chatham on keys, Mike Turnwall on guitar, Chris Mcgee on bass, and Brian Kenney on drums.

Danielle Grubb’s song are an eclectic mix, bringing influences from nineties pop-rock and R&B, 50s rock n roll, and her own nuances that make her compositions uniquely her own. Danielle’s songs are complex, yet accessible to a wide audience. She sings and plays with such honesty and vulnerability that gives the same warmth as an embrace from old friend.

To close off the night, Kate Buchanan’s eased the crowd with folk-styled rock n roll. To find out more about Danielle Grubb and upcoming shows, please visit her Facebook page.
